Comparisons editor · Manchester
I came to this from consumer journalism in Manchester, where most of my work was side-by-side comparisons: broadband deals, energy tariffs, travel insurance. The lesson from all of it was that a comparison is only as good as the figures it compares, and that a page nobody dates is a page nobody can trust.
So this page carries a date, and every figure on it comes from the operator's own published terms: the welcome offer, the wagering requirement, the minimum deposit, and where a site has them, free spins, cashback and reloads. I put the wagering requirement next to each offer because it is the number that decides what a bonus is worth, and it is the one most often tucked away.
When an operator contradicts itself, I show both figures. When it publishes nothing, the space stays empty. I do not score casinos and I have not timed their withdrawals, so the page does not pretend otherwise.
I write about offshore casinos without recommending gambling. They sit outside the UK Gambling Commission and outside GamStop, and anyone who has self-excluded should not use them.
If you spot something out of date, email letters@thiscitylifelondon.com. I read every message and correct the page when a figure has changed.
