Privacy Policy
This site has no accounts and takes no payments, so it holds very little about you. This page sets out what it does hold.
Last updated: November 2026. This policy covers thiscitylifelondon.com. Questions about it, and any request to see, correct or delete data about you, go to letters@thiscitylifelondon.com and are answered within one month.
What is collected
- Usage statistics: pages viewed, approximate location, the site that referred you, and device and browser type, looked at in aggregate to understand which parts of the guide are read.
- Affiliate attribution: when you follow a link to a casino, a code in that link tells the operator the visit came from this site. It identifies the page, not you.
- Emails you send us, kept only as long as it takes to deal with them.
Cookies
The site sets no advertising cookies. Usage statistics and affiliate attribution may place a cookie on your device, and the casinos you visit set their own under their own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and this site will still work.
Lawful basis and sharing
Usage statistics are processed on the basis of a legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, and emails on the basis of answering your enquiry. Personal data is not sold. It is shared only with the analytics service and with the affiliate networks that run the tracking links.
How long it is kept
Aggregate statistics are kept for up to 26 months. Emails are deleted once the matter is closed, unless there is a legal reason to keep them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to the personal data held about you, and for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted or moved, and you can object to its processing. Write to letters@thiscitylifelondon.com. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Other websites
Once you follow a link to a casino you are on its website and under its privacy policy, which this site has no control over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top will change with it.
